Windsor
Small-town main street, big lake views: Windsor sits dead center in NoCo with trails, breweries, and a booming food scene.
Windsor straddles the Larimer and Weld county line, midway between Fort Collins and Greeley, where in the 1870s a single building stood as a stopping point on the road between them. The railroad connecting the two towns arrived in 1882 and Windsor incorporated in 1890. A sugar beet factory ran here from 1905 until 1966 and employed thousands of people across those decades.
