Fort Collins

Fort Collins is the seat of Larimer County and sits on the Cache la Poudre River. Colorado State University, which opened in 1879 as the state agricultural college, is the city's largest employer. Downtown is Old Town, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978 and still lined with late nineteenth and early twentieth century commercial buildings.
